Forgiven

A piece for solo soprano saxophone; slow jazz with a hint of blues. It depicts the feeling that forgiveness brings a sense of shedding a burden. Written in 2010.

Soho; Jimmy's Riffs

Piano accompaniments for two of the excellent “20 Modern Studies for solo saxophone” by James Rae. The accompaniments are for no.9 (Soho) and no. 15 (potentially embarrassingly named 'Dick's Licks' in the original), and are designed to work with the studies played on soprano saxophone. For copyright reasons, the original saxophone parts can't be reproduced here, but it should be obvious how the saxophone and piano parts link together.

The Lamb of God; Lazarus is Dead

Two short pieces of incidental music, written for a church Easter production in 2001. They would work pretty well as standalone concert pieces. Originally for flute and piano, but also good for soprano saxophone and piano; they would probably sound fine on clarinet, oboe, violin or cello (transposed down an octave).
